Prevention instead of Intervention
A scalable, computational tool sensitive enough to pick up diseased signals early on can transform medicine from a reactive stance to a preventative one. Automated monitoring means that we do not have to wait for patients to get very sick to start treating them.
Delivery of Precision Medicine
Traditional medicine has usually been one-size-fits-all, but now, with genomic sequencing as cheap as $600, we can develop highly precise therapeutics. Computers are needed to analyze this high- dimensional data to deliver very precise medicine to each individual patient.
